Shigenobu Twilight is a hand-distilled fragrance in hand cut cedar wooden bottles by the New York based artist and architect Anicka Yi & Maggie Peng. The scent uses three different kinds of cedar wood as its base note, along with violet leaf and nutty heart notes, and top notes of yuzu, shiso leaf, and black pepper. Available at Ooga Booga >

Just got this lovely christmas gift from Tenue de Nîmes; The new fragrance by Byredo – Baudelaire. Byredo described this new Eau de Parfum as ” …a lazy isle to which nature has given singular trees, savory fruits, men with bodies vigorous and slender, and women in whose eyes shines a startling candor…” What’s more to say…

This inspires me – because it is not a problem specifically of perfume, but of inelegance in every single part of our business. It is the widely spread laziness to go for something more subtile, more detailed and more balanced. To seek for stories which are in balance with our surroundings and go for something worth living for. Every moment I see people like Christopher Brosius starting businesses like CB – I Hate Perfume, I get a but more confident that we really can change the world around us into something more elegant and more balanced.
