Finally I found the time to update Another Shop. With the help of Stuart Hobday (and Big Cartel) we made a new shop, with more products, better service and the ability to show more pictures per product. Together with the products we already featured we now sell a hand screen printed Tote bag designed by Timo Demollin for Anothercompany, the lovely ACL & Co. Motel Keychains, Le Labo vintage candles and beautiful leather bi-fold wallets and card holders by Maxx & Unicorn. And in the coming weeks there will be more. The Kaweco pen sets and the new natural leather Roberu iPhone cases will be (back) in stock.

My former intern Timo Demollin designed and hand screen printed a series of 4 different heavy weight cotton totes, exclusive for Another Shop. The bags are made in a limited edition of 10, all numbered, all printed on both sides and now available in the new Another Shop.
Above the most colorful one of the series: AOC – AnOtherCompany. Timo used the old VOC logo and turned up side down, together with the Dutch flag – hand dyed – and the roman numerals MDCII -1602 – the date the VOC was established.

I am very proud to carry Ursa the Bear by David Weeks in Anothershop. My little son instantly fell in love with this beautiful sustainably harvested beech wood bear of more than 34 cm high (in standing position). He started to growl and made ominous arm moves, haha! I’m very proud to announce the first international Blend Magazine, restyled by yours truly… With 300 pages filled with fashion, people, media and art this is the second part of Blend, which was relaunched last month with its Dutch Blend Paper.
The theme ‘The New Dutch School’ is build up with extraordinary shoots by photographers Wyne Veen and Isabella Roozendaal, interviews with Faberyayo and Jurgen Bey and visual columns by Jjjjound, Them Thangs and our own Tenue de Nîmes x Anothersomething Treasures.

And another shop update
This february we wrote about it already, and now they’re finally available at Anothershop: The handmade vegetable-tanned leather iPhone case by Roberu in black, and next month in brown as well.

After writing about it in the new Blend Magazine which will hit the stores next week we were kindly invited to sell this beautiful hand crafted shoe-care box by The Royal Treatment in our little online boutique. The box is hand made in France and contains (amongst others) horse hair brushes, polish, suede care products, creams in various colors and all the essentials for your shoes in order to give them eternal life. We are very proud to announce that we, together with Tenue de Nîmes, may cary the beautiful Japanese Midori Traveler’s Notebook in our little online boutique. The Traveler’s Notebook is a hand made black leather cover with white and an extra ruled paper refil (nr 003 and nr 002) made in Japan, a zipper and card file (nr 008 and nr 007) to cary all the collected paper treasures, and comes in a fine box and extra cotton pocket to cover the notebook while on the road. (All the inserts from nr 001 till nr 010 are also available at Tenue de Nîmes)
Next month I’ll be on a trip to Morocco, to the desert, use this beauty and report on it while traveling. To be continued…

A new book by Viviane Sassen, Sol & Luna, was made on assignment and initiative from Our Legacy and Libraryman. Viviane Sassen has completed a specially made and well-built series of imagery with androgyny and beauty as the key principle. A beautiful 32 pages hardcover book, printed in an edition of 300 numbered copies is now available at Anothershop.

Men’s File ‘a modern magazine tracing the roots of style’ makes me think of Free & Easy meets Invetory meets my school zine back in the days. It is a mix of very good content, great photography and snapshots, a raw and uncompromising design and interesting viewpoints.
Two issues were published since the launch of the magazine and this second issue is completely focusing on hand-made and the maker, ’showcasing the beauty and elegance of the English cricket pavilions and the sartorial cricket style’ along with some reports on cycling, racing, shoemaking and more good things of life. All well documented.

When you’re a regular reader you might think that we have some kind of a bag-fetishism. We’re hunting all day for the best, most practical, good looking and well crafted men’s accessories. Well, at the moment we believe we found something that will make us to end this search. A bag made of cognac-colored Florentine Vachetta leather, hand-made in Italy, bag-by-bag, with all the needed compartments and cases. Finally had the time to do a major update on Anothershop. We are very proud to carry the handmade TravelTeq Trash 15″ bag in Fox Red (will feature it later this weekend here on Anothersomething). A super nice little notebook with two envelope compartments, black laser graphed cover and packed in screenprinted envelope all made by the Belgium designer Geoffrey Brusatto. Two issues of Men’s File, a modern magazine tracing the roots of style. (will feature it later this weekend here on Anothersomething). And this nice little book ‘Rules for my Unborn Son’ by Walker Lamond. One man’s instructions for raising a thoughtful, adventurous, honest, hardworking, self-reliant, well-dressed, well-read, well-mannered young gentleman.

SOME/THINGS Magazine Nº 1 is a beautiful publication by Monika Bielskyte with work of Roger Ballen, Zhang Huan, Antoine D’agata, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Lina Scheynius and much, much more… It is a 300 pages black and white/full colour heavy wight book packed with a certain dark feeling in all the work published. We are very proud to announce that, beside Colette in Paris, the Acne stores around Europe, Photographers Gallery in London, Rick Owens in NY and Japan, the magazine is available at Anothershop.

Together with Red Wing, Olaf Tamm published a new book: “Wall of Death – Theatre of Motorcycling”. It is a tribute to these reckless motorbike-riders who perform their acrobatic art since almost a century. The drivers speed through vertical walls of a gigantic wooden drum, showing their repertoire of insane stunts on souped-up, museum-worthy Indian Scout motorbikes dating from the 1920s. The air vibrates from the roaring engines and the scent of oil and gasoline hangs in the wooden barrel that trembles and creaks with the beat of the engine’s staccato.
It took the photographer three years to travel through the whole of Europe and chase extraordinary pictures and exciting stories for his new project.

This beautiful hardcover book with more than 100 coloured pictures on 132 pages plus dvd (with the b/w short film „MOTODROM“ by Joerg Wagner) is now available at Tenue de Nîmes and online at Anothershop.
