“The lower valley of the Omo, at the borders of Ethiopia, Kenya and Sudan, remains one of the wildest places in Africa. Over the course of numerous voyages to this forgotten land, Hans Silvester became fascinated by the beauty of the Surma and Mursi tribes, who share a taste for body painting and extravagant decorations borrowed from nature.
With 160 colour photographs, this magnificently produced book provides a priceless record of a unique and increasingly fragile way of life, one threatened by conflict, climate change and tourism.”

Photography is a language guided by exposure to light and a rehashing of the world. The conquering power of tools have been with us for some time, but I feel regardless how I may print, the initial lure of what I shoot in the world haunts me still. Wayne Liu in an interview at Coutorture.com

The SuMM can do some of your tasks at night when your sleeping and other tasks just go away. Amazingly the SuMM doesn’t cost anything.
The Success Making Machine is you! All you need is your brains and a few tools that you already have and success is practically given. The machine is the system you build to enable success in all aspects in your life.
Next Action: Write down three items that you want to achieve. Read Building Your Success Making Machine and start aceiving success.

“For several years I’ve been working with top breeders, photographing their dogs by bloodline, exploring their obsessive quest for the ‘perfect dog’….My study of the Whippet foregrounds the intimate relationship between human and animal, and the increasing significance of photographic technologies in the development of human identity.”
This project will be exhibited at the Museum Folkwang, Essen, 5 April – 15 June 2008.

We’ve left a beautiful country behind us, the stunning views, the amazing silence, the breathtaking wildernis, and returned to rainy cold holland. Thanks to all the kind people of chile, all the trip advisors, all the car rentals we used and the guides who guided us thru this lovely country, but most of all, thanks to the beautiful weather!
After 3 breathtaking weeks in Chile, we are flying back tomorrow. Ciao!
